Alternative rock group The Sherlocks were formed in Wath-upon-Dearne, South Yorkshire (England) in 2011, by two sets of brothers: Kirian Crook (vocals, guitar) and Brandon Crook (drums), Josh Davidson (guitar, replaced by Alex Procter in 2020), and Andy Davidson (bass, replaced by Trent Jackson in 2020). After making their debut on the stages of renowned festivals like Reading and Leeds, in the summer of 2015, the group gained a following with the singles "Heart of Gold" and "Last Night," leading to an opportunity to open for The Libertines in 2016 with new single "Will You Be There?" landing them a contract with Infectious Music shortly after. In early 2017, the single "Was It Really Worth It?" topped the UK Vinyl Singles Chart, preceding the release of their debut album, titled Live for the Moment, in the summer of the same year, reaching number 6. Further opening gigs, this time for Kaiser Chiefs and The Vaccines, allowed the group to maintain momentum until top-20 album, Under Your Sky, was released. The Sherlocks made their return in 2021 with World I Understand, climbing to number 9, establishing Teddyboy Records and embarking on their fourth album People Like Me & You, two years later, which achieved their highest position on the British charts, reaching number 4.
