Formed in 2006, Chicago-based rockers The White Tie Affair signed to Epic Records in 2007. Following a number of tours with Kill Hannah, the band recorded their debut album 'Walk This Way' which was released in April 2008. The band were well-received critically, with the New York Times referring to their sound as "leaning toward new-wave guitar rock and mixing apologies with come-ons." Singles 'Candle (Sick and Tired)' and 'Allow Me to Introduce Myself... Mr. Right' have been featured on television shows such as 'TRL' and 'The Hills' giving the band exposure to mainstream audiences. This continued as the band opened the show for Lady Gaga on her Fame Ball Tour of US arenas. They recorded a second record, which remains unreleased, although they did release standalone single 'You Look Better When I'm Drunk' in April 2010. Drummer Tim McLaughlin left the band in 2010 and they subsequently announced their breakup in 2012. Frontman Chris Wallace has since pursued a solo career and released his debut album 'Push Rewind' the same year. He is now a songwriter and producer, whose credits include work with The Vamps and Jez Dior.
