Thees Ullmann (born April 16, 1974 in Hemmoor) is a musician from Germany. The artist is a founding member and singer of the band Tomte. Thees Ullmann began his solo career in 2011, and his self-titled debut album Thees Ullmann immediately made it into the top 10 of the German album charts at number 4. With the song "Zum Laichen und Sterben ziehen die Lachse den Fluss hinauf", the musician has a hit single. Thees Ullmann released his second studio album in 2013 with #2. The longplayer climbed to number 2 in the German album charts. The artist then devoted himself to another passion and published his first novel, Sophia, Death and I, in 2015. Junkies and Scientologists, Thees Ullmann's third studio album, followed in 2019. In Germany, the album again reached number 2. In 2022, the artist released his first live album, 100,000 Songs - Live in Hamburg. Thees Ullmann also makes it back into the top 10 of the German album charts at number 6. At the end of 2024, the compilation Sincerely, Thees Uhlmann - Das Beste von Tomte bis heute is released. The album reaches the top 10 in Germany again at number 7.
