With his androgynous physique and clear, high-pitched voice, Thierry Amiel became one of the stars of a new generation of singers revealed by music TV shows in the mid-2000s. Although the Marseillais finished second in the first edition ofA la recherche de la nouvelle star (M6), behind Jonatan Cerrada, his popularity was nonetheless strong, and a few months later, with his first album(Paradoxes, 2003), success was on the cards. Success was confirmed three years later with his successor, Thierry Amiel, more influenced by rock and new wave. In 2010, he takes us by surprise with Où Vont Les Histoires? a third folk opus inspired by the repertoire of Canadian Sarah McLachlan.
