A former member of the Vercoquin group with Sébastien Martel, Thierry Stremler pursued a solo career with the album Tout Est Relatif in 2000. Inspired by French bossa nova (Pierre Barouh) and subtly arranged pop (Michel Polnareff), the singer returned with Merci Pour L'Enquête (2005), offering his services to Françoise Hardy. Je Suis Votre Homme (2007) sees him supported by Joseph Chedid (guitars, production), who is still present on the travel album Rio released in 2011.
