Tiffany Haddish is a Grammy-winning stand-up comedian and Emmy-winning actress. Born in Los Angeles, California, on December 3, 1979, she was raised in the city's South Central neighborhood and turned to comedy as a coping mechanism, having suffered multiple forms of trauma during her childhood. Following a career-launching appearance on the TV competition Bill Bellamy's Who's Got Jokes? in 2006, Tiffany Haddish began starring in a wide range of television programs, films, and comedy specials, including The Carmichael Show, Key and Peele's comedy movie Keanu, and box office smash Girl's Trip. She also maintained a presence in the music world, appearing in music videos like Jay-Z's 2017 release "Moonlight," Maroon 5's 2018 hit "Girls Like You," four videos from Todrick Hall's 2018 album Forbidden, and Drake's Number 1 hit "Nice For What." She also earned a Grammy nomination for "Best Spoken Word Album" in 2019, after narrating the audiobook to her popular autobiography, The Last Black Unicorn. Her comedy special Black Mitzvah premiered later that year, and its soundtrack earned Tiffany Haddish another Grammy nod, this time for Best Comedy Album. It ultimately won the award, making Tiffany Haddish the second African-American woman in history to take home the trophy for Best Comedy Album.
