Born on July 4, 1983 in Shanghai, China, Hu Yanbin is Tiger Hu; the artist formerly known as Anson Hu. The Chinese singer-songwriter and record producer launched his career in 2002 with his debut studio album for Go East Entertainment Co. Ltd and continued to put out albums regularly throughout the 00s and 10s, including Who Cares? in 2011 and GROW in 2012, both released on Warner Music Group. That same year, he changed his Latin-script stage name to Tiger Hu and released his eighth studio album, One Size Bigger. Tiger Hu made his acting debut in 2015 in the films Oh My God and Fall in Love Like a Star, playing the role of Song Ming in the latter. He released his eleventh studio album in 2018, 覅忒好, the same year he took on the role of composer instructor for Produce 101 China, a Chinese girl group reality show, which premiered on Tencent Video. In 2018, he also stepped up as a judge on the Chinese music program Sound of My Dream 3, which aired on Zhejiang Satellite TV for three seasons beginning in November 2016. In 2019, he was enlisted as a rap instructor on the Chinese male group reality television show Produce Camp 2019. In 2020, Tiger Hu released a duo of Mandopop singles, "枕邊人" and "繁星."
