German DJ Timo Maas celebrated his first successes in the electro underground of the rave scene in the 1990s. He later developed in the direction of progressive house. With the single "Shifter", the artist achieved a Number 1 dance hit in the USA in 2002. This track can be found on the album Loud, which also achieved international success in the same year. Timo Maas also released the DJ sets Music for the Maases (2000) and Music for the Masses 2 (2003), which also attracted a lot of attention. Known for breaking musical conventions, Maas has worked with a diverse range of artists and bands such as Placebo, Madonna, Kelis and Fatboy Slim, many which can be found on the 2005 album Pictures. In 2011, together with Brian Molko, singer of Placebo, he thrilled fans of modern dance music with the single "College 84".
