A post-rock electronic band, To Rococo Rot links music to contemporary art in works that are somewhere between pop and experimental. After a debut .cd album for Kitty-Yo in 1996, the Berlin trio is distributed by City Slang/Mute, who release Veiculo (1997), The Amateur View (1999) and Music Is a Hungry Ghost (2001). The Domino label took over with Hotel Morgen (2004), ABC One Two Three (2007) and Speculation in 2010. Twenty years after its formation, To Rococo Rot releases its eighth album, Instrument, featuring Arto Lindsay. One of the members, Ronald Lippok, also plays in Tarwater.
