Toosii

Toosii, born Nau'Jour Grainger on January 9, 2000, is an American rapper and singer hailing from Syracuse, New York. He grew up in Raleigh, North Carolina, where he first found his passion for music. Toosii began his music career in 2017, gaining initial recognition with his self-released mixtapes Label Me Diverse, Hell on Earth, and Why Not Now. He continued to build momentum with the release of the single "Red Lights," which accumulated millions of plays across streaming platforms and was included in his 2020 breakthrough mixtape, Platinum Heart. The mixtape earned him widespread acclaim and reached Number 1 on the Billboard Heatseekers Albums chart while also peaking at Number 196 on the Billboard 200. Poetic Pain, his major-label debut for Capitol Records, hit the shelves in September of that year and showcased Toosii's versatility as an artist while solidifying his growing presence in the hip-hop scene. Driven by the gold-selling single "Love Cycle" with Summer Walker, the album climbed to Number 17 on the Billboard 200 and reached Number 12 on the Top R&B/Hip-Hop Albums chart. He followed this success in 2021 with his seventh mixtape Thank You for Believing, whose star-studded list of guests included Latto, Key Glock, and DaBaby. His ascent to rap stardom continued over the next few years on releases like the EP Boys Don't Cry (2022) or the viral single "Favorite Song" (2023), his first title ranked in the Billboard Hot 100 at 51st place and followed by remixes by Khalid and Future, then the album Naujour, which ranked at number 19. New titles followed without delay, including "Champs-Elysées", in view of the album Jaded which is released in October 2024.
