Tracy Byrd is an American country singer who sang with a local band in Texas while at university and released his debut single, 'That's the Thing About a Memory', in 1992. His eponymous debut album came out in 1993 and went to number 24 on Billboard's Top Country Albums chart and number 114 on the Billboard 200. 'No Ordinary Man' (1994) reached number three on the Top Country Albums chart and number eleven on the Billboard 200. Other hit albums include 'Love Lessons' (1995), 'Big Love' (1996), 'I'm from the Country' (1998) and 'The Truth About Men' (2003). His 1993 single 'Holdin' Heaven' topped Billboard's Hot Country Songs chart and the Hot 100 and 'Ten Rounds With Jose Cuervo' also went to number one on both charts. Other hit singles include 'Lifestyles of the Rich and Famous', 'Watermelon Crawl', 'The First Step', 'Don't Take Her She's All I Got', 'The Keeper of the Stars', which won the Academy of Country Music Award for Song of the Year, and 'Drinkin' Bone'. Compilation releases include 'Keepers: Greatest Hits' (1999) and 'The Definitive Collection' (2007). He released an album titled 'All American Texan' in 2016. His 2020 schedule was to include appearances at venues in Gulfport, Mississippi; Vinton, Louisiana; Lakeland and Melbourne, Florida; Thackerville, Oklahoma, and Henry, Illinois.
