Travis Barker is an American drummer who earned success with the Grammy Award-nominated rock band Blink-182. They went on hiatus in 2005 and Barker appeared in an MTV reality series titled 'Meet the Barkers', drummed with different groups including The Transplants, released hip-hop remixes and teamed with DJ AM in a duo called TRV$DJAM. In 2008, he and DJ AM were the only survivors in the crash of a private plane in South Carolina. They were both injured badly and spent many months recuperating. Blink-182 reunited in 2009 and they have continued to perform ever since. Born in California, Barker learned to play the drums as a child and played in a jazz band while in high school. He had stints with local bands and with guitarist Chad Larson formed a ska punk group called the Aquabats in 1994 before joining Blink-182 for the release of their 1999 album 'Enema of the State'. He has remixed tracks by Eminem and former Guns N' Roses guitarist Slash and in 2011 he released his first solo album, 'Give the Drummer Some' featuring artists including Kid Cudl, Rick Ross, Busta Rhymes and Snoop Dogg. It went to number two on Billboard's Top R&B/Hip-Hop Albums and Top Rap Albums charts and number nine on the Billboard 200. His 2012 EP 'Psycho White' with rapper Yelawolf reached number three on the Rap Chart, number seven on the R&B/Hip-Hop Chart and number 50 on the Billboard 200. He appears on the 2015 EP 'Live Freaky Die Freaky' with Billie Joe Armstrong and Jane Wiedlin and released his second album 'Drumsticks & Tattoos' in 2013. His 2018 schedule included several dates with Blink-182 at the Pearl Concert Theater in Las Vegas.
