Trentemøller is a Danish electronic music personality, having won two Danish Music Awards in 2007 and eleven trophies at the Danish DJ Awards. A producer and multi-instrumentalist born in Vordingborg on October 16, 1972, Anders Trentemøller Andersen appeared in several rock-oriented projects in the late 1990s, before going solo with the Trentemøller EP (2004), which won him his first Danish DJ Award. Crowned Producer of the Year in 2005, and Artist, Producer and Remixer of the Year the following year for his work with Röyksopp and his track "Rykketid " (2006), the musician achieved considerable success with his first minimal electronic album The Last Resort (2007), which reached No. 5 in the Danish charts and went on to go platinum. On the strength of two Danish Music Awards and a reputation established through his own productions, collaborations and numerous remixes, including those by Pet Shop Boys, The Knife, Moby, Robyn, The Raveonettes and Modeselektor, he released the compilation The Trentemøller Chronicles (2007) and set about new interpretations with Depeche Mode and Franz Ferdinand. In 2010, the album Into the Great Wide Yonder once again won over the public, reaching No. 2 in Denmark and placing in various European charts. In 2013, the live collection Live in Copenhagen was followed by the studio album Lost (No. 2), in between multiple collaborations with Unkle, Bruce Springsteen, The Dø, M83, David Lynch or The Warlocks. However, despite the high production rate, Trentemøller allows himself time to fine-tune the albums Fixion (No. 16 in 2016), Obverse (2019) and Memoria (2022), which are still in the European charts. The musician, who looks after his videos created by Danish visual artist Andreas Emenius, diversifies his sound palette with the EP No More Kissing in the Rain (2022) and the album Dreamweavers (2024), still released on his own In My Room label.
