TSURI×BIT, also known as TSURI BIT, was a Japanese idol group of five women who debuted in 2013 and disbanded in 2019. Formed under the concept of embracing the spirit of fishing, their group name combines "fishing" and "bit," a play on words indicating both a piece of something and a fishing enthusiast. Known for their slogan, "Someday, we'll fish up the world," TSURI×BIT aimed to express the joys and hardships of nature through their music and activities, using fishing as a unique element of their identity. They were introduced as idols who could sing, dance, and fish, emphasizing an emotional connection to the natural world and promoting fishing as a form of mental and physical development. The group also engaged directly with fans through fishing events, fostering a community around their shared interests. Despite the novelty of their theme, TSURI×BIT announced their disbandment in 2019, concluding their journey with a final live performance titled TSURI×BIT Last Live Sail Away at MyNavi BLITZ Akasaka, a venue filled with significant memories for the group. Their release, "Chu shitai"(2016) encapsulates the thematic essence of their music, blending pop idol elements with their love for fishing.
