A musician and multimedia artist, Tunde Adebimpe is best known as the lead singer of the group TV on the Radio. Born Babatunde Omoroga Adebimpe to Nigerian parents in St. Louis, Missouri, on February 25, 1975, he met multi-instrumentalists David Sitek and Kyp Malone, with whom he formed the indie rock band TV on the Radio in 2001. Although the band took a long break after releasing five experimental albums between 2004 and 2014, Adebimpe didn't wait for this opportunity to initiate his own musical projects. He has collaborated with Dragons of Zynth, Yeah Yeah Yeahs, duos Atmosphere and Tall Firs, as well as Prefuse 73, Massive Attack, Liars, Tinariwen, Amadou & Mariam, Leftfield and Run the Jewels. After bringing together other musicians to launch the Higgins Waterproof Black Magic Band, which recorded an album under that name in 2014, in 2016 he took part in the album Nervermen, named after one of Mike Patton's bands, associated with rapper Doseone. In 2020, he released the performance art EP A Warm Weather Ghost and his first solo singles "People" and "ReeFeel". Appearing in several films and TV series, among other activities as a cartoonist and director, the musician signed a new single in 2024 entitled "Magnetic".
