1960s pop-loving San Diego group TV Girl, comprising Brad Petering, Jason Wyman, and Wyatt Harmon, formed in 2010 and launched themselves onto the scene in 2010 with the Todd Rundgren-sampling song “If You Want It,” releasing the follow-up "Girls Like Me" in 2011 before establishing their voice further on 2012 mixtape The Wild, The Innocent, The TV Shuffle. Their debut studio album French Exit landed in 2014 and they expanded their remit to take in hip-hop and psych-pop on 2016 follow-up, Who Really Cares. Death of a Party Girl came in 2018 and they went to number 21 on Billboard's rock chart with "Blue Hair" that same year. The band's fourth studio album The Night in Question: French Exit Outtakes surfaced in 2020 while that same year they recorded a collaborative album with Bloodbath64 called Aestheticadelica. They joined forces with Jordana the following year for a new collaborative album, Summer's Over.
