U-Kwon

Kim Yu-kwon (born April 9, 1992, in Suwon, South Korea), better known by the stage name U-Kwon, is a South Korean singer. U-Kwon debuted with boy band Block B in April 2011, joining the group’s first sub-unit, Bastarz four years later. Later, U-Kwon and group member B-Bomb recorded the song "Bingle Bingle" for the Block B album Blooming Period, which was released on April 11, 2016. U-Kwon released his first self-penned solo Japanese single, "Painless" (痛くない), on June 24, 2016, featuring in the short vampire film Q Chan, in which he also starred. From August 26 to September 7, 2017, U-Kwon performed a seven-show, six-city tour of Japan with fellow Block B member Taeil as the special unit T2u. He also participated in the Japanese special project album, Block B: Project-1, released on September 20, performing the song "Winner" with P.O and Japanese rapper Chanmina. In December 2017, U-Kwon and singer Rothy released an OST song for the drama Jugglers titled "Baby Baby." After a stint on stage, performing in various musicals including In the Heights, Evil Dead: The Musical, and Altar Boyz, U-Kwon released his single album Rise Up in December 2019, followed by "Wanna Do" in January 2023. He recorded the track "With You" for the Loveclass 2 Original Soundtrack in March 2024, returning the next month with "Tough Love."
