Ummet Ozcan was born on August 16, 1982 to Turkish parents and grew up in the Netherlands. The record producer and sound artist, who made a name for himself over the course of his career with numerous club bangers, began to immerse himself in the Dutch EDM scene as a teenager. The DJ earned his first respectable successes in the trance sector. Numerous singles such as "Joypad" (2008), "Maya" (2009) and "Arcadia" (2010) were followed by the smash hit "Reboot" in 2011, which also became a dancefloor filler far away from his home country. From 2012, Ozcan increasingly devoted himself to the big room genre - which would soon bring him greater commercial triumphs. After being named one of the 100 best DJs in the world by DJ Magazine in 2013, the artist made his first international chart entries in 2014 with tracks such as "Raise Your Hands" and "Revolution" (feat. R3hab & Nervo). in 2015, he contributed to the track "The Hum" by Dimitri Vegas & Like Mike, which reached pole position in the Belgian charts and went platinum. In the same year, he made a stylistic break with his previously established big room concept. The single "Wake Up The Sun" (2016) is an example of this, in which a progressive house signature can now be recognized. After "The Melody" (feat. Dimitri Vegas & Like Mike and Steve Aoki) also reached number 12 on the Belgian hit list in 2016, many other tracks have expanded Ummet Ozcan's oeuvre over the years, including "Change My Heart" (feat. Laurell) in 2018 and "Toast Hawaii" (feat. le Shuuk) in 2020.
