Vanessa Wagner

Born in Rennes, France on June 11, 1973, Vanessa Wagner is an acclaimed classical pianist. She studied under teachers such as Jean-François Heisser, Leon Fleisher, Murray Perahia, and Alexis Weissenberg. Wagner is best-known for her interpretations of chamber music works. Her early releases include Rachmaninoff: Piano Sonata No. 2 (1996) and Scriabine: Fantaisie in B Minor (1998). In 1999, Wagner was awarded the Victoire de la Musique (France’s equivalent of the Grammy Award) as the Most Promising Instrumental Soloist. Her catalog also consists of albums devoted to the works of Debussy, Schubert, Brahms, Britten, and Théodore Dubois. Her 2014 release A l’Aube was a collaboration with Thibault Lebrun. She also collaborated with Mexican electronic artist Murcof on three EPs and the album Statea (2016). In 2019, she issued the album [Inland].
