Award-winning singer, songwriter, and musician Vishal Mishra was born on December 8, 1990 in Unnao, Uttar Pradesh, India. He first came to prominence on the reality TV show DD National. Under the guidance of Indian film music director/composer Lalit Pandit - one half of duo Jatin-Lalit - Vishal Mishra learned about the art of composing music, particularly for Bollywood productions. His first composition appeared in the 2016 film Devi. His first hit was the 2017 song “Jaane De” (sung by Atif Aslam), which appeared in the film Qarib Qarib Singlle. He made his singing debut in the 2017 film Munna Michael. His popularity within the Bollywood industry grew and he composed and performed songs for films such as Race 3 (2018), Yamla Pagla Deewana Pir Se (2018), Notebook (2019), Pranaam (2019), Bamfaad (2020), and Yuvarathnaa (2021). Vishal Mishra also released a series of solo singles including 2020’s “Muskurayega India," “Aaj Bhi," “Woh Chaan Kahan Se Laogi," and 2021’s “Tu Bhi Sataya Jayega” (featuring Aly Goni and Jasmin Bhasin), which was streamed more than 40 million times on social media in its first month of release.
