Voldie Mapenzi

Born on May 17, 1992, Voldie Mapenzie grew up in Goma, in the east of the Democratic Republic of Congo. Introduced to singing in her youth through a choir, the death of her mother at the age of thirteen led her to take refuge in songwriting. Eager to become a star, it was her participation in the Vodacom Super Star show in 2010 that gave her the opportunity to launch her solo career. After concerts in Gisenyi and Goma, she took part in the track "Mutuache Na Amani" in 2013 for the Amani festival. Selected for the second edition of the festival, she performed there again in 2015, gaining further experience. Voldie Mapenzi presents new compositions, "Go Go Go" (2017), "Mutenzya" (2020) and "Happy Birthday To Me" (2021), on which she refines her Afropop style. Determined to make her mark on the Congolese music scene, the singer unveiled her first album, 9, in 2022, featuring her first emblematic songs.
