Vulcain is almost at the source of French metal. Once dubbed the French Motörhead, Vulcain was formed in 1981 in the Paris region. They released their first album, Rock 'n' Roll Secours, in 1984, and expressed themselves mainly on stage, where they broke new ground on the largely incipient venue circuit. After a few changes, Vulcain achieved a certain notoriety with Transition in 1989. However, these first stirrings never really materialized, and Vulcain threw in the towel in 1998 after Stoppe la Machine. Vulcain reformed as a trio in 2010, and reawakened memories in May 2011 with the live album En Revenant...
