Wakyin, born Christian Rivera-Joaquin on July 4, 1996, in Orlando, Florida, has established himself as a dynamic presence in the house music scene, blending his Dominican and Puerto Rican heritage with modern electronic sounds. Growing up immersed in the rhythms of merengue, bachata, and salsa, he developed a deep appreciation for music that transcends cultural barriers. His passion for production led him to craft a unique style that fuses Latin influences with deep house and afro house beats, creating an infectious groove that resonates globally. Wakyin's discography showcases his ability to innovate within the genre, delivering tracks that balance rhythmic complexity with dancefloor energy. After making his official debut in 2019 with the single "Fall In," he dropped his first full-length Caras in 2023, featuring contributions by Jean Lorenzo, Tommy Naxty, PitchBLK, and many more. Later that year, Wakyin collaborated with Carlos Vives on the track "Fruta Fresca," a house reimagining of the vallenato singer's classic.
