Warren Hue

Born on 20 June 2002 in Jakarta, Indonesian rapper, singer, songwriter, and producer Warren Hue made the leap from SoundCloud rapper to national star in the space of a few years. He kicked things off with a remix of Valee's "Womp Womp" in 2018 (posted under his gamer tag warrenisyellow) and after writing and producing for American rapper Aminé's debut mixtape OnePointFive, released his own debut Alien that same year. A collaborative project with Chasu, Sugartown followed in 2019 and in 2020 he became the fourth Indonesian artist to sign with American entertainment giant 88rising, which helped him break through to a wider audience. The following year he changed his artist name to Warren Hue and issued his first major-label track in "Freaks", a collaborative effort with Japanese girl group Atarashii Gakko!, with singles "Omomo Punk", "Too Many Tears", and "West" also arriving in 2021. He joined fellow Asian stars Rich Brian and NIKI on the "California" single (2021) and lent his voice to 88rising’s soundtrack for Marvel’s Shang-Chi and the Legend of the Ten Rings (also in 2021). 2022 marked the arrival of his debut album, BOY OF THE YEAR, which yielded three singles: “HANDSOME”, “W” featuring yvngxchris, and “RUNAWAY W ME”.
