Warren Wolf

Warren Wolf began playing music at the age of three, encouraged and tutored by his father to play the vibraphone, marimba, drums and piano. He was classically trained during his school years and went on to study at the Berklee College of Music under the guidance of Dave Samuels of Spyro Gyra. After graduating from Berklee in 2001 Wolf returned a couple of years later and for a period was a member of the teaching staff working in the percussion department. During his time at Berklee Wolf became an active member of the Boston jazz community and was the house drummer at the legendary Wally's Cafe, one of the best known jazz venues in the US. In 2005 Wolf relocated to Baltimore and has since developed an international career playing with a number of respected ensembles which include saxophonist Bobby Watson's sextet Live and Learn and Christian McBride's Inside Straight project. Wolf's reputation as a musician continues to grow and he is regarded as one of the young lions of the jazz movement with several critically acclaimed recordings to his credit, both as a leader and as a sideman.
