Waterparks is an American rock band from Houston, Texas. The group was formed in 2011 by Awsten Knight, Geoff Wigington, and Otto Wood. They are known for their unique blend of pop-punk, hard rock, and electronic elements. Waterparks independently released their first two EPs, Airplane Conversations (2012) and Black Light (2014). They then released their third EP, Cluster, through Equal Vision Records in 2015. The EP was co-produced by Benji Madden of Good Charlotte. Waterparks' debut full-length album, Double Dare, was released in 2016, featuring the single "Stupid For You," which earned the group more attention. Their second album, Entertainment, was released in 2018 and further refined their electronic-infused pop-punk style. The following year, the group released their album Fandom (2019), which saw them exploring their relationship with fame and life in the public eye. For their fourth studio effort, 2021's Greatest Hits, the group took a more experimental approach to their music, increasing focus on the electronic elements. Their fifth album, Intellectual Property, was released in 2023 through Fueled By Ramen and serves almost as a highlight reel of the group's diverse sounds, incorporating styles they have explored throughout their career. Intellectual Property peaked at Number 33 on the US Billboard 200 chart.
