Wilderado is an LA-based indie rock band originally from Tulsa, Oklahoma. Its origins date back to 2015 when Max Rainer (guitar/vocals) and Tyler Wimpee (guitar) met through mutual friends in college and started writing songs together. After recruiting bassist Colton Dearing and drummer Justin Kila, the band made its official recording debut in 2016 with the EP Latigo, followed by a second EP titled Misty Shrub, in April 2017. Latigo notched up streams by the millions and earned the band the chance to tour with established acts such as Band of Horses, Rainbow Kitten Surprise, Lindsey Buckingham, and Judah & the Lion. In 2018, Wilderado released the EP Favors, which garnered praises by critics and considerably expanded their fanbase. Follow-up singles “Surefire” (2019), “CFS” (2020), “Revenant” (2020), and “Take Some Time” (2020) proved just as successful, with the latter being remixed by RJD2, Emancipator, Kyle McEvoy, and Gus of Alt-J. In 2021, their single “Head Right” placed at Number 29 on the Alternative Songs chart, followed by their debut album Wilderado. Two years later, Wilderado Live featured performances at various venues across the USA and the United Kingdom, before the release of the single "In Between", featuring Matt Berninger of The National, and an alternative version with Ken Pomeroy. Further singles such as "Talker" - included in Twisters movie - and "Bad Luck" preceded the release of their sophomore album Talker in 2024. One of its tracks, "Higher Than Most", reached the 36th place on the Alternative Airplay charts.
