will.i.am

As the front man, producer and multi-instrumentalist with the Black Eyed Peas, will.i.am steered the group to Grammy glory, worldwide Number 1s and huge album sales, while using hip hop and pop to create swaggeringly funky dance floor hits. Signed up as a 16-year-old to gangsta rap legend Eazy-E's Ruthless Records, he went under the name Will-1X but left the label after the death of Eazy-E in 1995 to form what would become The Black Eyed Peas. Repeatedly dipping his toes in the film industry, will.i.am's first solo material came with the movie soundtrack albums Lost Change (2001) and Must B 21 (2003), before he acted in Madagascar: Escape 2 Africa and X Men Origins: Wolverine. Contributing to band mate Fergie's hit single Fergalicious, Pussycat Dolls' Beep and Flo Rida's In The Ayer, his third studio album Songs About Girls (2007) produced the UK Number 4 Heartbreaker, featuring Cheryl Cole.
