Witherfall

Witherfall is a neo-classical power and progressive metal band from the USA that was founded in 2013. The founding members include guitarist Jake Dreyer and singer and keyboardist Joseph Michael. Both already know each other from their time together in White Wizzard. The line-up is completed by drummer Adam Paul Sagan and bassist Anthony Crawford. Even before the release of their debut, drummer Adam Paul Sagan passed away in 2016 and Gergo Borla took his place. The first single "End of Time" (2016) is followed by the debut album Nocturnes and Requiems in 2017. Both works are self-released. Only then does Witherfall sign a record deal with Century Media. The album A Prelude to Sorrow was released in 2018. The band repeatedly cites other rock greats such as Dream Theater, Symphony X and Into Eternity as significant influences for their own music. The EP Vintage (2019) was followed two years later by Curse of Autumn, their third studio album. The longplayer climbed to number 20 in Germany and also reached number 73 in the charts in Switzerland. In the summer of 2024, Witherfall released another studio album, Sounds of the Forgotten. The album reaches number 97 in Germany.
