Woo Jin-young is a South Korean singer and rapper known for his work in K-pop and hip-hop. He was born on May 31, 1997, in Seoul. Initially trained under JYP Entertainment, Woo Jin-young moved to Happy Face Entertainment, where he participated in Mnet's Produce 101 in 2017. Though he was eliminated in the second round, his performances helped him gain recognition. Later that year, he joined JTBC's Mix Nine, a reality competition aiming to debut a nine-member boy group. Woo Jin-young consistently ranked high throughout the show and ultimately finished in first place. However, contract negotiations between YG Entertainment and the contestants' agencies failed, and the group did not debut. That year, he debuted as a member of D1ce with the mini-album Wake Up: Roll the World. After this, Woo Jin-young embarked on his solo career with the 2021 release of his first mini-album, [3-2=A], and its lead single "Happy Birthday." In 2022, he released his second mini-album, Delicious, which peaked at number 100 on the Korean charts.
