Yabby You is a special figure in the history of reggae. Despite his dreadlocks, he does not profess Rastafarianism, and despite being the author of the standard "The Conquering Lion " in 1972, it wasn't until the mid-1990s that he was rediscovered. The anthology Jesus Dread 1972 - 1977, released in 1997, is a monument to reggae of unparalleled depth. Death surprised him on January 12, 2010 in Clarendon.
