Martinique-born Yaniss Odua has been a fixture on the French reggae scene since 1988. In 1992, at the age of thirteen, he released his first album with Little Yaniss. By the time he had matured a little, he was close to Capleton's conscious dancehall with Yon Pa Yon in 2002. With his label-mates Matinda and Straika D., he released High Tunes in 2007. Equally at home on roots and dancehall, Yaniss Onua was on his own in 2008 for Hit 2 Hits. For Moment Idéal in 2013, Tiken Jah Fakoly and Richie Spice join him on stage.
