Yasmine Ammari

Born on June 17, 1985 in Oran, Algeria's second-largest city, Yasmine Ammari grew up in an artistic family alongside her musician and singer father, Bouzid Ammari. Yasmine Ammari first came to public attention at the tender age of 6, when she appeared on an Algerian television show, and went on to record her first hits, such as "Ya Khali" (1994) and "Targhite " (1995). After a break devoted to her studies, the singer returned to the music scene in 2001 with a duet with her father, "Koulouna Djazairine", then on the M6 TV show Graines de star. Yasmine came second, then took another musical break until 2013 with a new single, "Denia Li Nekratou". She gradually wrote her first album, Lyoum (2014), driven by the hit "Venez danser le raï", which earned her the title of Best Album of the Year at the 2015 Algerians Music Awards. Yamine Ammari establishes herself as a figure of Algerian song, which she represents again with her album Baba in 2016, then appears again on the small screen, for the series Sultan Achour 10 (2015-2017), El Khawa (2018) or Wlad Hlal (2019). Awarded the trophy for Best Algerian Actress in 2017, she appeared on French screens in The Voice contest in 2018, where she failed to qualify for the final. Yasmine Ammari then pursued her career as an actress and performer, taking part in new TV productions while developing her musical projects, including the tracks "Ya Rabi" featuring Nacer Soudani and Mister Melomane (2020), "Hada Had Al Hachra" featuring Zhouania (2020) or "Machi Kima Ntaya" (2022).
