Lebanese actress and singer Yasmine Hamdan was a member of the electro duo Soapkills from 1997 to 2005. Based in Paris, Yasmine Hamdan conceived the YAS project with Mirwais in 2007. This resulted in the 2009 albumAräbology, a successful synthesis of oriental music and electro. More personal, Yasmine Hamdan was produced in 2012 by Marc Collin, known for his work with Ollano and Nouvelle Vague. A new version of the album was released in 2013 by Crammed Discs under the name Ya Nass. It features five new songs, including the main theme from Jim Jarmusch's film Only Lovers Left Alive . In 2017, she released a new album entitled Al Jamilat.
