Yes Sir Boss is the result of a collaboration between singer/guitarist Matthew Sellors and Australian alternative rock band The Scientists. Formed in Bristol in 2008 and comprising six members, including jazz saxophonist Jehan Abdel-Malak, the combo has been peppering its sounds with multiple influences, from ska and Balkan blues to rock and pop, since their first self-produced album, Kings & Queen, was released the same year. A close friend of Joss Stone, Yes Sir Boss joined the soul singer's label, Stoned Records, in 2012, when his second album Desperation State was released.
