Yolanda Lisi is a native of Montreal, Quebec, Canada. She began her career as a singer with Russ Meridith's orchestra in the 1950s. At the same time, she made her first appearances on English-language radio stations in Montreal. In 1953, she attracted attention with the song " Vaya con dios". It wasn't until the 1960s that she enjoyed success with " Tu brises mon cœur ", "La plage ", "Je crois mon cœur", " Le goût de toi" and many others. She worked with composers and arrangers such as Michel Legrand and Raymond Berthiaume. She was crowned Female Artist of the Year in 1965 and 1966 at the Festival du disque. In 1966, she sang the theme song for the Canadian film Yul-871, entitled " Je t'attends toujours". She recorded 2 albums and almost twenty singles between 1953 and 1973. She later retired from the business due to deafness.
