Yuridia

Yuridia Francisca Gaxiola Flores (October 4, 1986) is a pop singer who was born in Mexico and grew up in Arizona, USA. She first gained fame when she was runner-up in the Mexican television talent show La Academia in 2005. She went on to become one of the most popular and successful Mexican performers with many hits recordings in her homeland and in America singing in Spanish and English. Her 2006 debut release La Voz de un Angel went to Number 16 on Billboard's Top Latin Albums Chart and Number 8 on the Latin Pop Albums Chart. Habla el Corazón (2007) reached Number 5 on the Latin Pop Chart and Number 14 on the Latin Chart, Entre Mariposas (2007) peaked at Number 7 on the Latin Pop Chart and Number 13 on the Latin Chart, Remixes (2008) went to Number 13 on the Latin Pop Chart and Number 22 on the Top Dance/Electronic Albums Chart, Nada Es de Color Rosa (2009) went to Number 4 on the Latin Pop Chart and Number 14 on the Latin Chart, Para Mí (2012) reached Number 4 on the Latin Pop Chart and Number 15 on the Latin Chart and 6 (2015) peaked at Number 3 on the Latin Pop Chart and Number 7 on the Latin Chart. She has had ten tracks on the Latin Pop Songs Chart, including four in the Top 10: "Como Yo Nadie Te Ha Amado" (2007), "Ahora Entendí" (2008), and "Ya Te Olvidé" (2012). Yuridia has also collaborated with other Latin artists such as Victor Manuelle (2006's "Nuestro Amor Se Ha Vuelto Ayer") and Toby Love (2011's "Quizás"). Her 2017 live release Primera Fila climbed to Number 12 on the Latin Pop Albums Chart and in 2018 she supported the release with a 15-date tour of America at venues in Chicago, Dallas, Denver, Las Vegas and Los Angeles. In 2022, Yuridia paid tribute to Regional Mexican music on her seventh studio album Pa' Luego Es Tarde, whose lead single "Si No Piensas Cambiar" entered the Mexican Top 100 at Number 72
