Zehef and his mate Morsay are, to say the least, original characters in French rap. While there's nothing unusual about the formation of the Truand 2 la Galère collective, Zehef and Morsay have gone so far as to create a pseudo-political party, Mouvement Morsay pour la Liberté. On a more serious note, in 2009 the two gangster rappers released the joint album Cli-Cli Notre Plaque Tournante, a reference to the flea market in Clichy-sous-Bois (Hauts-de-Seine). In 2011, Morsay directed the parody film La Vengeance, in which Zehef played one of the roles. In early 2013, Zehef released J'Suis Zehef on his own.
