Zeromancer

Norwegian rock band Zeromancer emerged from the ashes of Siegmen, another Norwegian band who had enjoyed a successful international career until frontman Alex Moklebust, drummer Noralf Ronthi and bassist and songwriter Kim Ljung left to start Zeromancer. Over the next decade Siegmen would sporadically reconstitute itself for reunion gigs but Moklebust, Ronthi and Ljung would continue to direct their musical energy into Zeromancer. The band's debut album 'Clone Your Lover' was a collection of eleven songs, all written and produced by Ljung and released in 2000. Due to the existing fan base created by the popularity of Siegmen, the album made an immediate impact on Norwegian rock fans and went to number seven in the charts. They went on to release a further five albums during their career and over the years their music has drifted into a more electronic based style prompting comparisons to be drawn with UK band Depeche Mode. The band have built a solid fan base throughout northern Europe, especially Germany and throughout their career have been a popular attraction at music festivals.
