With their laid-back mix of rock, reggae, ska, and hip hop, Long Beach, California band Sublime ruled the ‘90s with hits like “What I Got” and “Santeria.” The band took a long hiatus after original singer Bradley Nowell died in 1996, but 13 years later, Sublime hooked up with vocalist Rome Ramirez and resumed touring and releasing new music under the name “Sublime With Rome.” Rome sat down with us to talk about Sublime’s musical legacy, friends, and influences, as well as play hand-picked songs from the band’s nearly 30-year history.
