15& was a South Korean pop duo formed by JYP Entertainment in 2012, consisting of singer-songwriters Park Ji-min and Baek Ye-rin. The duo's name, 15&, references their age at debut, signifying not only their youthful start but also their potential for future success. They made a remarkable entrance into the music scene with their debut single "I Dream" on October 5, 2012, quickly followed by a series of performances and a unique 'school attack' guerrilla concert series that garnered significant attention from the media. Park Ji-min, before joining 15&, gained fame as the first-place winner of the reality TV competition K-pop Star, choosing JYP Entertainment from among the top three record labels. Baek Ye-rin, on the other hand, showcased her musical precociousness from an early age and had been a JYP trainee for five years. Following their debut, 15& released several hit singles including "Somebody" (2013) and "Can't Hide It" (2014), both of which were performed in the finales of the K-pop Star series, highlighting their ongoing connection to the show that launched Park Ji-min’s career. Their studio debut, Sugar, released in May 2014, landed in the Top 10 of the Circle Albums Chart. The duo's journey continued with the release of "Love Is Madness" in 2015, featuring Kanto of Troy. However, after a four-year hiatus starting in February 2015, the group faced a de facto disbandment with the expiration of both members' contracts with JYP Entertainment in 2019.
