Aaron Goodvin is a Canadian country musician who has had an illustrious career both as a performer and a songwriter. Born in Spirit River, Alberta, he took an interest in country music from an early age and eventually moved to Nashville, Tennessee to pursue his dream of making a career as a musician. Initially signed to Warner Chappell on a songwriting deal, he gained notoriety after writing a track for Luke Bryan's 2013 album Crash My Party. Fellow Canadian Johnny Reid then took him under his wing, mentoring him as a performer before he signed a record deal in his own right in 2016. His self-titled debut contained three top ten singles, including "Lonely Drum," for which Goodvin won the Songwriter of the Year award at the 2018 CCMA awards. He then released his second album V in February 2019 to a wave of critical acclaim. The LP was nominated for Country Album of the Year at the Juno Awards of 2020. His Lucky Stars EP followed in 2021, which contained the single "You Ain't" featuring Meghan Patrick. In 2023, Aaron Goodvin shared two new singles: "The Longer I Live" with Ryan Kinder and "Country Dance," which went to number 49 on Billboard's Canadian country chart.
