A Canadian country act from Blumenort, Alberta, High Valley began balancing religious and pop sensibilities in the late-'90s, when brothers Brad, Bryan, and Curtis Rempel began performing together as children. Raised in a Mennonite community and steeped in the area's traditional country and bluegrass music, the trio self-released their 2007 debut LP Broken Borders, which brought them to the attention of religious-minded music consumers in their native country and captured the GMA Canada Covenant Award for "Album of the Year." Their 2010 follow-up, High Valley, showcased their skills as modern country music makers, adding a friendly pop sheen to their take on country. The album won multiple Covenant Awards and gave them four Top 30 country songs. including “A Father’s Love (The Only Way He Knew How)." 2012’s Love Is a Long Road consolidated their gifts and spun off four more Top 30 country singles, including the number 5 hit “Let It Be Me," their biggest chart success to that point. Bryan left the band in 2014 just before the release of Country Line, another advancement for the group that boasted four Top 10 country hits. High Valley signed to Atlantic and released Dear Life in 2016, earning their first Number 1 country single with "I Be U Be." They returned to their roots for the 2018 EP Farmhouse Sessions, followed by the 2020 EP Grew Up on That, the latter of which featured the Number 1 Canadian country hits "Grew Up on That" and "River's Still Running." The hits continued with 2022's Way Back, which included the Top 10 hits "Whatever It Takes" and "Country Music, Girls and Trucks."
