Winner of the Queen Elisabeth Competition of Belgium in 1978, Abdel Rahman El Bacha is one of the few Middle Eastern pianists to have established himself on the international scene. Born in Lebanon in 1958, he studied at the Paris Conservatoire, where he settled and adopted dual nationality. A pianist with a vast repertoire, Abdel Rahman El Bacha has won critical acclaim for his interpretations of Beethoven (complete concertos and sonatas), Prokofiev(First Works, Preludes and all five Piano Concertos), Chopin and Bartok for various labels. In 2013, the prolific pianist delivers his vision of the complete Beethoven Piano Sonatas .
