Acru, born Agustín Cruz on June 4, 1997, in Tucumán, Argentina, is a prominent rapper, singer, and freestyler in the Argentine hip-hop scene. He first gained recognition in 2014 with his debut single "Viejita Mía," a tribute to his mother, and quickly became a standout competitor in freestyle battles, particularly in the famed El Quinto Escalón competition. Over the years, Acru has built an impressive discography, starting with his debut mixtape Sueños Firmes (2015), followed by his critically acclaimed albums El Origen (2017), Anonimato (2018), and El Don (2023). His single "Animal," a collaboration with Wos, remains one of his most popular tracks, garnering millions of views. Known for his powerful lyricism and versatility, Acru has also collaborated with Argentine producers like Bizarrap, and artists such as Trueno on the hit track "Jugador del Año." In 2021, he expanded his discography with the EP Yantaz and continued his rise in the Latin hip-hop world. His third full-length album, El Don, released in 2023, solidified his place as one of the leading voices in the genre, marked by a major concert at Luna Park in Buenos Aires. In 2024, he collaborated with rapper YSY A on the track "Padre Nuestro."
