Akari Kitō

Akari Kito, born on October 16, 1994, in Nagoya, Aichi Prefecture, Japan, is a renowned voice actress and singer affiliated with Racoon Dog and signed under Pony Canyon. Her notable roles include Nezuko Kamado in Demon Slayer, Suzune Horikita in Classroom of the Elite, and Kanata Konoe in Love Live! Nijigasaki High School Idol Club, among others. She debuted as a voice actress in 2014 in the role of Maki Aika in Invaders of the Rokujyoma!? Following her training at Pro-Fit voice acting school, she officially joined the agency in 2015 and made her major debut as a singer on her birthday in 2019. Kito's contribution to the anime industry has been significant, earning her the Best Actress Award at the Newtype Anime Awards 2018-2019 for her role in Demon Slayer, where her character also won the Female Character Award. In 2021, she received the Best Supporting Actress at the 15th Seiyu Awards. Her second EP Give Me Five! was released on August 27, 2024, and the EP reached number 23 on the Oricon Weekly Singles Chart and was a commercial success.
