Co-founder of IAM, the rapper with multiple aliases (Chill, Sentenza, AKH) known as Akhenaton is one of the tutelary figures of French hip-hop. His talent as a calm, moderate orator and his literate rap have made him a media-friendly spokesman for the genre. Alongside IAM, he has pursued a solo career, beginning in 1995 with the classic Métèque et Mat and continuing with the brilliant Comme un Aimant (soundtrack to his 2000 film) and his Black Album (2002). In 2010, Akhenaton released his autobiography, accompanied by the compilation La Face B. We Luv New York in 2011 with Faf Larage added nothing to his legend. In 2014, Akhenaton is back in the public eye with Je Suis en Vie.
