Akira Takano

Akira Takano, born on July 22, 1997, in Kurume City, Fukuoka Prefecture, Japan, is a multifaceted entertainer known for his roles as an actor, artist, singer, and dancer. He first gained recognition as a member of Dream5, a group formed from a national audition for the NHK educational program Tensai Terebi-kun MAX in 2009. Dream5 became widely known after performing the ending theme for the popular show Yo-kai Watch. Following the disbandment of Dream5 in 2016, Takano ventured into musical theatre, starring in productions such as "ROCK MUSICAL BLEACH," "Touken Ranbu," and "Hypnosis Mic." In 2023, he also appeared in the stage adaptation of the hit manga Kingdom. In addition to his acting career, Takano made his solo music debut in January 2019. He has since released six singles and conducted his second live tour in 2022, further establishing his presence in the music industry. His album, Advance released in 2024, showcases his continued evolution as an artist and entertainer.
