Alex Ponce is an Ecuadorian singer-songwriter born in Cuenca on July 23, 1998. His music career took off in 2020 with the release of his debut single "Distancia," which paved the way for his first album Ser humano in 2023. The album, featuring pop ballads like "No siento nada" and "La última noche," earned him a loyal fan base and over 1.2 million monthly listeners on streaming platforms. His second studio full-length, Ruido, El Silencio y Yo, arrived in 2024 and showcased his evolution as an artist, incorporating elements of regional Mexican music, pop-rock, and Latin influences, as heard in his hit single "Daría todo." The ambitious album is divided into three EPs, exploring themes of love and self-reflection. Based in Miami to stay connected to Mexico’s vibrant music scene, Álex Ponce has embraced his cross-cultural collaborations, working with Mexican producers and musicians such as Anthony Russo, Sebastian Llosa, RMAND, Marcelo Rubio, and BLANKO, who featured in the single "La Sin Sentimientos."
