Born on February 26, 2000 in Parañaque, Philippines, Alexandra Madarang Ilacad is known by her stage name Alexa Illacad: a Filipino actress, singer, dancer, and model. She secured an early start in acting after finding fame on children's sketch comedy Goin' Bulilit in 2008, having previously appeared in TV commercials for several major brands from as young as two years old. She built up her acting portfolio in a number of small-screen gigs, while also landing roles in Filipino films For The First Time, The Reunion, and Amorosa: The Revenge. She launched her music career in 2012 as a singer in Tweens of Pop together with fellow Goin' Bulilit stars, Angel Sy, Mika Dela Cruz, and Noemi Oineza. The group marked their arrival with a self-titled EP that year under Star Music, with lead single "Crush" featured on the soundtrack for Filipino teen sitcom series Luv U. The following year, she bagged her first lead role as Lexie Domingo in the second season of Luv U, and continued to land an array of TV and film roles over the next ten years. Her debut solo EP, To The Moon & Back, was released in 2016 on Star Music. Four years and new a record deal later, she released a follow-up single, "Love at First Sight," via Off The Record (under Exclusive License to MCA Music Inc.), which was nominated for Best Dance Recording at the 2021 AWIT Awards. That same year, she joined the 10th season of Pinoy Big Brother –Pinoy Big Brother: Kumunity – as part of the first batch of housemates in the celebrity edition.
